Industry Breakout: ChronosHub - One Author Experience, Many Underlying Systems
Most publishers communicate with their authors through various platforms and systems, often resulting in a broken user journey and an inconsistent interaction with a publisher's brand. In this breakout session, we'll share how the ChronosHub platform can sit on top of existing legacy systems to provide one coherent platform for author interactions throughout the publishing process, from submissions to the signing of author licenses and processing payments. We'll talk about modern, user-centric design, configurations at your fingertips, and, of course, integrations with other systems in the workflow, such as peer review, production, and publication.
2. Friday, 31st May, 9:00 AM - 10:15 AM (Previews Session)
ChronosHub Launches a New Author Interface and More!
Author experience is at the core of our efforts at ChronosHub, and over the past year, we've dedicated ourselves to crafting a new, author-friendly interface that streamlines the publishing process for authors – making it quick and straightforward. Looking for the ideal journal for your submission? Interested in tracking your manuscript's progress through peer review or identifying any pending actions? It's all transparent and readily accessible to authors. What sets ChronosHub apart is its single-platform experience. It seamlessly integrates with existing systems, providing authors with a cohesive and transparent experience. In this 5-minute preview session, we'll unveil our new platform and show how authors and publishers can benefit from it.
3. Friday, 1:30 PM
Session 5B: How Deep is Your Love for Authors?
Do you have a strategy for interacting with your authors? Do you use modern marketing technology to personalize your experience? How do you guide your authors through the submission process? Do you update them about the status of their manuscript? If an author complains about parts of your service, how do you respond? In this fun and interactive session, we'll help you assess just how good your Author Experience is. We will start with lightning presentations from some publishers that have embarked on an innovative journey to shake up their Author Experience. Next, we will take you through our self-assessment quiz that will reveal how much you care about your authors. We will discuss different elements of the author's experience with our guest speakers while participants complete their answers. In the end, you will leave with a score and some practical suggestions for improvements. (Mixed-learning: Includes applied and strategic perspectives on an issue; appropriate for those with at least some experience of the subject area seeking a mix of immediate/practical and future/planning information.)
