Headbanging for a stronger company culture: ChronosHub’s 2025 all-company day and summer party

"Getting out of the office, having fun together—that's where strong teams are built."

Event duration June 25, 2025

10 pm on a sweltering Friday night in Copenhagen. ChronosHub’s team was sitting on a grassy slope, watching Billy Idol belt out his hits.

If she’s honest, our VP of Operations Jess Rucker isn’t too familiar with Mr. Idol’s discography. But she knows a thing or two about company culture, and that moment on the slope epitomized the one we’re building here at ChronosHub.

“I remember speaking to Christian [ChronosHub’s CEO] about how to best keep our growing team motivated and engaged. He shared that things like bonuses alone won’t really cut it, but getting out of the office, having fun together—that's where strong teams are built. Those shared experiences are crucial.”

In Copenhagen, the day began with a session at the office. Employees got a transparent look into ChronosHub’s performance over the previous year, including a review of our annual employee survey results.

“We can build the best product out there,” Jess says, “but if we lose sight of our cultural values, we won’t succeed as a company.”

That’s especially true as ChronosHub grows.

“As we add more and more people to the team, gone are days when everyone answers ‘Strongly agree’ to every employee survey question. There'll be many challenges as the team grows. So, we’ve got to know what to prioritize, and to be open about that with everyone.”

After lunch, it was off to Copenhell, the city’s legendary metal music festival. Before Billy, we caught acts like Dream Theater and Brat, whose ‘Barbiecore’ aesthetic left us equally ecstatic and perplexed.

“I saw Christian disappear deep into a moshpit. I’m never going to forget that.”

Post-Billy, the ChronosHub team gradually dispersed home, saving their memories for Monday in the office. Reflecting back on the day, Jess saw the “connective tissue” forming that’s going to benefit us long into the future.

“We have all these huge projects coming and things are going to get busy. People are going to feel strapped. To push through that and come out on the other side even stronger, you need to invest in deeper relationships. And you can only do that with days like this.”

That’s worth a few sore necks on Saturday morning, wouldn’t you agree?
