How easy is it for authors to submit to a publisher’s journals? Do authors understand how to navigate open access publishing options? Do they have enough insights during peer review? And is communication between the publisher and their authors consistent all the way through the publishing process?

If those are questions that you ask yourself, you’re not alone – because so do we. These questions define author experience, namely the various touch points and interactions between authors and publishers, along the publishing workflow - from author recruitment, through submissions and peer review, down to the final publication.
Author experience is at the heart of what we do at ChronosHub and in this survey we would like to dig a little deeper into publishers’ perceptions and their awareness of their authors’ experience when engaging with them.
Answers will be kept confidential but shared in a collective insights report.
The survey runs until January 31st, 2024 and is open to anyone who works for a publishing organization.
