Senior Backend Engineer
As Senior Software Engineer in the Platform team, you will be focusing on building solutions that will be used cross-platform, ranging from building a unified framework for integrations to features that can are used in multiple areas of the product.
Purpose of the role
At ChronosHub, we’re building the platform that modernizes scholarly publishing connecting systems and workflows. As Senior Software Engineer in the Platform team, you will be focusing on building solutions that will be used cross-platform, ranging from building a unified framework for integrations to features that can are used in multiple areas of the product.
Key responsibilities
- Architect Scalable Solutions: Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performing back-end solutions tailored to business needs and user requirements.
- Collaborate cross-team and cross-functions: Partner closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Maintain Code Excellence: Champion coding best practices to uphold a high-quality, maintainable codebase.
- Mentor and Guide: Support and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of growth and continuous learning.
- Enhance Performance: Regularly analyze and optimize back-end performance, addressing bottlenecks to deliver exceptional user experience.
What you bring
- At least 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
- Experience with .NET
- Experience with API development
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure
We would prefer candidates with:
- Experience working with Terraform and Kubernetes
- Experience with test automation and unit testing
Skills:
- Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with your team and cross-team.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance priorities, assessing the cost-benefit impact of tasks.
- Problem-Solving: Skilled in developing tactical solutions to meet immediate needs when long-term options are unavailable.
- Language proficiency: Fluency in English, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for customers and stakeholders.
