Enago x ChronosHub

Fix the language before an editor ever reads it

ChronosHub and Enago have partnered to give authors a language check before they submit. Authors see what needs fixing while it’s still quick to fix. Your editors and reviewers get manuscripts they can judge on the science, not the sentences.

Runs at presubmission, inside the workflow you already use.

Who we’re working with

Enago works with researchers and publishers worldwide on language and manuscript quality.

Most language problems are visible long before peer review. The author is just the last to find out. We put Enago’s check where the author can still act on it.

A clean manuscript, before the clock starts

Three steps inside the workflow authors and editors already know.

Authors start
as usual

They begin pre-submission in the flow they already know. No new account and no extra login.

Enago checks the language

ChronosHub sends the manuscript to Enago over a secure connection. The check starts right away.

Authors fix it, then submit

They follow the status from queued to ready, open the report, and fix what matters before they submit.

Language check

Before submission

– Authors see language issues before an editor opens the file
 – Especially useful for international author pools
– Results show up as a status and a link in your workflow

Available first. This is where the partnership starts.

What comes next

After submission

– We’re starting with authors. As the partnership grows, we’ll look at where Enago can support editors too. Always as support for human judgment, never a replacement.

What this means for publishers?

Reviewers read the research, not the grammar

Language gets fixed before anyone spends review time on it.

Fewer revision rounds about language.

Catch it at the start, not three rounds in.

A fairer start for authors writing in a second language.

They get clear feedback early, before an editor forms a view.

Nothing new for your team.

The status and report show up in the workflow you already use.

A small pilot with a clear decision.

Up to eight weeks, one project owner, and you set the go or no-go criteria.

Author fixing journal

ChronosHub sits at the front door of scholarly publishing, where authors discover journals, check publishing agreements, and begin their submission journey. By bringing Enago’s language, manuscript quality, and research integrity support into that journey, we are helping publishers address issues upfront, improving the quality of submissions they receive.

FAQs

Does this replace our editorial system?
No. Your submission and peer review systems stay exactly as they are. The language check runs at presubmission, and the result shows up in the workflow you already use.

Do authors need to do anything different?
Barely. They see the report before they submit and decide what to fix. Submitting works exactly as before.

What does the report actually return?
A clear status and a link to the full language report, so authors can see what to fix and where.

What’s the commercial model?
Enago contracts directly with the publisher and invoices you directly. ChronosHub never sits between you and that relationship.

How long does a pilot run?
Up to eight weeks from kickoff to outcome decision, with one midpoint check-in. You own the go and no-go conditions, and we agree them before we start.

What do we need to provide to pilot?
One named project owner, access to manuscript and submission data within the agreed scope, and time for the midpoint check-in. That way results are measured against a real baseline.
