ChronosHub joined the ASCE Pathways to Inclusive Publishing Summit 2026, a free hybrid event dedicated to advancing equity and accessibility in scholarly communication. Hosted by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the summit brings together publishers, researchers, technologists, and advocates to share strategies for building a more inclusive publishing ecosystem.

Takeaways:
ASCE’s Pathways to Inclusive Publishing Summit delivered on its promise of engaging and meaningful content with practical takeaways for all attendees. Despite having to go fully virtual due to inclement weather, the event was still lively with panelists and attendees actively engaged online and in the chat. My main takeaway was that data plays a central role in enabling inclusive publishing. Speakers emphasized that meaningful progress depends on using data to identify inequities, guide decision‑making, and improve accessibility across platforms—positioning technology as a catalyst for more equitable publishing systems.
