What to expect from the Early Adopter Program

Step 1: Kick-off

We start with a call to align on goals, confirm your setup requirements, and introduce the team. You’ll get a clear picture of what’s ahead and what we need from you to get started.

Step 2: Configuration

We set up your publishing environment, apply your branding, and connect to Editorial Manager. Our setup wizard handles the heavy lifting so this moves fast.

Step 3: Review

We run through your journals together, review the author-facing experience, and work through any feedback. This is your chance to see it in action before any authors do.

Step 4: Testing

We validate submission flows end to end, confirm everything routes correctly into your editorial workflow, and iron out any last details with your team.

Step 5: Go live

You’re live. We stay close during the first weeks to make sure everything runs smoothly, then hand over to our support team for ongoing help.

ChronosHub delivers a consistent, intuitive author experience while letting us plug and play new tools, experiment more, and work flexibly on the back end.

Where editorial power meets author simplicity

Aries Systems and ChronosHub share a common goal: to build a more connected, researcher-centered publishing experience.

Aries has been at the heart of editorial workflows for decades. Editorial Manager is trusted by publishers worldwide as the industry-standard platform for peer review and editorial decision-making.

ChronosHub brings a modern, author-first approach to the front end of publishing. Built to reduce friction in the submission process, it combines intuitive design with powerful automations.

This partnership gives you the best of each. You retain the editorial control and workflow depth you depend on. Your authors gain an intuitive experience from first submission to final decision.

Authors with computers and books

ChronosHub has helped us get submissions down to six minutes in many cases. And we’re getting better metadata feeds into our peer review than ever before.

FAQs

Is this integration replacing Editorial Manager?
No. Editorial Manager remains your editorial engine. ChronosHub acts as the author-facing front-end.

Does this change my existing contract with Aries?
The Early Adopter Program runs on top of your existing agreement with Aries.

Will our authors need new accounts?
Authors will need to create a single identity with the publisher that can be used seamlessly across all journals

Are there any known limitations?
As an early access program, certain features may not be available as they continue to evolve throughout the EAP. Our team will work closely with participants to ensure a positive experience.

What level of onboarding support is provided?
Participants will receive dedicated onboarding and ongoing support. After launch, you’ll go through a dedicated hypercare period where we stay close and respond quickly to anything that comes up. You’ll get up to two recorded administrator training sessions, and an in-product help function so your users can get answers without leaving the platform.

How long does the EAP last?
The program will last 4 months from start of participation. Dates are subject to change.

What kind of support will we receive?
Your dedicated Aries Account Coordinator will continue to provide support, with Chronoshub technical teams available as needed. User facing first level support will continue through the publisher’s existing user contacts.

Will the solution be fully complete?
As an early access program, the solution will continue to evolve. Participant feedback will inform ongoing enhancements and final feature development.

What are the expectations for participants?
Participation requires a moderate level of engagement, including initial onboarding, periodic feedback, and participation in scheduled check-ins. Day-to-day effort is minimal, as the solution is designed to integrate into existing workflows and enhance the experience.
